Where is our Civilization Headed?

Published on February 26th, 2016

Historian Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall, and that, “An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide."

Does any American, whether black, white or Hispanic, think we will survive another 100 million legal immigrants within 30 years? That’s what’s coming at current immigration levels mandated by Congress from the 1965 Immigration Reform Act. That number includes immigrants, their children and chain-migrated relatives.

It brings up this question: where is our civilization headed?

No one knows. There’s no plan whatsoever. Our 535 Congressional critters do not possess a clue as to what they bequeath to their children – and all of our children.

In Jared Diamond’s book, “Collapse – How Societies Choose to Succeed or Fail,” he examines multiple factors that contribute to a society’s collapse, including overpopulation. We’re on the same path as the Roman Empire, Mayans and Greeks, and many others. The signs, facts and realities are unmistakable. Yet our leaders blindly take us down the same path as that of ancient Rome and others.

Central American migrants continue heading El Norte.

Good grief: we stand $19 trillion in debt. We suffer seven states with water shortages and more to follow. We suffer 1.5 million homeless in our cities. We’re billions of dollars in the hole for failing infrastructure in our cities. More than 10 million Americans cannot secure jobs. But every 30 days, we import 100,000 legal and illegal immigrants, enough to fill California’s Rose Bowl, onto America’s shores.

Our schools suffer accelerating failures as kids in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Detroit and New York City cannot read or write past the 4th grade level when they “graduate” from high school, or quit long before they reach age 18.

In my own city of Denver, the kids in our school system speak 172 different languages. How do American school children learn in such linguistic chaos? Answer: they don’t.

Each day, those of us with jobs pay more than $500 million in interest on the $19 trillion of federal debt. But does Congress pay it down? No! It grows through $2 billion daily borrowing to float our delicate economy. There is $1.4 trillion in trade imbalances, but Congress continues “Free Trade” that kills American workers’ jobs.

Look at our states. We pay for 11 to 20 million illegal aliens and their children at a cost of hundreds of billions of dollars annually across 15 federal agencies – costs associated with anchor babies, insurance fraud, medical care, child care, free breakfasts and lunches, food stamps, ESL courses, incarceration and on and on.

Where is our civilization headed?

We’re headed for one nasty future. In my world bicycle travels, I learned the single greatest aspect of human misery equated to two words: overpopulation and illiteracy. Those two factors drive every kind of problem in Third World countries. It drives our problems in America because 47 million Americans subsist on food stamps. They can’t secure a job because they offer no qualifications.

Again, we inject 1.2 million legal and illegal immigrants into America annually.  How much longer can we do this to ourselves?

We face water shortages and diminishing arable land. We face massive traffic congestion and air pollution. We face horrific environmental consequences – but we keep adding more immigrants.

We need to change course. We need to save ourselves. We need to do it now. Because if we don’t, by 2026, ten years from now, we shall add another 35 million people. It won’t be pretty for anyone.
