Political Asylum Fraud: Where America's Compassion Becomes Vulnerability

America has a long and well-established reputation for providing safe haven for vulnerable people from around the world. This is the concept behind the political asylum program. It is a vital program that all Americans should be proud of.

Immigrants Victimizing Immigrants

I knew something was wrong when my friend came running out of her house and cried out, “Leon, your wife just called. She said please don’t be upset with her!”

I and my friend’s husband, a visiting professor from Canada at the University of California-Irvine, were just returning from a relaxing hike in Orange County’s Caspers Wilderness Park. Now my mellow mood from communing with nature vanished in an instant.

Criminals, Terrorists, War Criminals Hide in Plain Sight through Immigration Fraud

The 9/11 Commission noted that visa fraud and immigration benefit fraud were the preferred methods for terrorists to enter the United States and then embed themselves here – not only those who attacked the U.S. on September 11, 2001, but also terrorists found operating in the country during the decade prior to the 9/11 attacks.

News Coverage of the Terror Attack in Kenya Ignores the Obvious

On September 21, 2013, more than a dozen members of al-Shabab, a terrorist organization closely associated with al-Qaeda, launched a horrific terror attack on a mall in Kenya. The attack on civilians left dozens dead and dozens injured. Initial reports indicated that Americans and Europeans were among the terrorists.

Outrage! U.S., Mexico Collude to Grant Aliens Asylum Based on Fraudulent Claims

California Prison Early Release Plan Won't Be Delayed, Supreme Court Rules

The title for my commentary was borrowed from the news report that was posted August 2, 2013, by the Huffington Post. While neither the title for the article nor the material contained in the article even mentioned immigration, in point of fact, this is an immigration story.

A Day at the Beach in California May Include a Meet-Up with Drug Smugglers, Human Traffickers

Summer beach vacations in California may include some unpleasant surprises, namely, stumbling across marijuana loads that smugglers have dropped off along the coast or encountering groups of illegal aliens hoping to find their way inland.

Unlicensed Immigrant Killed My Son, S 744 Pardons Criminals

The Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Modernization Act, S.744, is filled with lies of commission. Chuck Schumer and his Gang of 8 tell us that aliens will be required to pay back taxes and pay fines as well as be subject to extensive background checks – all empty promises. Schumer’s deceit will supplant “the check is in the mail” as America’s favorite lie.

How a Liberal Became an Enforcement Advocate: My Story

As a new blogger, I thought it best that I introduce myself to let you know a little about me.

DHS Releases Criminal Aliens: “On What Authority?”

From the moment President Obama authorized thousands of criminal aliens released, outrage has boiled over. Even though detaining criminal aliens costs peanuts, an average $164 daily, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano disingenuously referred to releasing them as a budget saving sequestration measure. But, the joke is on innocent citizens--- budget cuts haven’t been and never may be made. Freeing criminals---alien or otherwise--- is dangerous and, as carried out by Napolitano, legally indefensible.
