Pew Hispanic Center Report Shows That Aliens Live with Little Fear of Deportation; Add to Population

In more than 25 years of patriotic immigration reform activism, I’ve never been able to understand one thing: why the illegal immigration lobby makes such a big deal of amnesty when the aliens are living in complete comfort as it is.

Whenever an amnesty push comes up, especially when it’s reinforced by huge public marches in downtown Los Angeles or on Capitol Hill, citizens get riled up, phone their Congressmen and demand that aliens be promptly deported.

GAO Confirms Link Between Aliens and Arizona Wildfires

The U. S. Government Accountability Office released its study this week that has linked 30 fires that started during a five-year period to illegal aliens. Read the complete report here.

The GAO findings vindicated Senator John McCain who earlier this year said that Arizona fires are often caused by illegal border crossers. The Hispanic lobby immediately charged McCain with scapegoating.

Today, however, McCain could---and did---gloat. After his office released the report, McCain said:

The Amusement Park

Shortly after I began doing interviews on television and radio programs about the immigration crisis that contributed to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 I was invited to participate in a successful of discussions on Lou Dobbs Tonight that aired on CNN.  In one of my earliest appearances Lou decided to address the impact of illegal aliens on healthcare.  He was understandably “torqued” because illegal aliens, who had come to use the emergency rooms of hospitals and then not paying for their treatment, were driving hospitals into bankruptcy.  Th

Be Careful What You Wish For

Russell Pearce was the force behind the controversial Arizona Immigration Law, SB 1070.  He was the President of the Arizona State Senate and because of his outspoken position on the need to enforce immigration laws on the state level, he drew fire from a number of well funded organizations that oppose the enforcement of our nation's immigration laws.

Americans Want Enforcement; the Media Insists on Political Correctness

Trust in journalism and respect for journalists has been in steady decline for years. The reason is clear to readers and even obvious to Brent Cunningham, the Columbia Journalism Review’s (CJR) managing editor.

Alabama AG Defies Overbearing DOJ; Sessions to Support States on Immigration Enforcement

Last week, the Department of Justice sent a forceful letter to Alabama school districts reminding them that under Plyler v. Doe a state may not deny any child equal access to public education based on his or her immigration status. The letter, signed by Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez, included a ten-point list of demands for enrollment information that must be submitted by November 14 and updated monthly.

On Veterans Day: The American Legion Joins Patriotic Americans for Immigration Reform

The American Legion is the nation’s largest veterans’ organization. Chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a group made up of dedicated veterans, the Legion has become synonymous with patriotic activities including community parades and its famous amateur American Legion baseball teams.

Victims of Illegal Immigration

The failure of the federal government to enforce our nation's immigration laws impacts the lives of increasing numbers of our citizens and lawful immigrants.  This impact has many manifestations but the most egregious of these manifestations involve illegal aliens who commit crimes that result in the death or serious injury of many victims.  Each and every death or serious injury committed by an illegal alien could have been prevented if the illegal alien who perpetrated that crime had been prevented from entering our country and then remaining in our country in violation of l

Why Did the Illegal Alien Run the Border?

The question that forms the basis for my commentary addresses the fundamental aspects of the immigration issue.

The short answer to the question, "Why did the illegal alien run our border" is that there is no definitive way of knowing.  In this case, what we don't know can certainly harm us.  An alien who runs our borders is violating our nation's sovereignty and our nation's laws- laws that are being ignored by our federal government and those municipalities and states that have "Sanctuary" policies in place.

At a Time When Millions of Americans are Out of Work, Perry Proposes New Work Visas for Aliens

Governor Rick Perry, a presidential candidate with unwavering support for Texas’ version of the DREAM Act just proposed that the federal government should extend work visas that would allow illegal immigrants to move freely between the U.S. and their home countries. Then, in his next breath, Perry insisted that he opposes amnesty or any path to citizenship. [Perry Endorses Work Visas for Illegal Immigrants, Associated Press, November 3, 2011]
