CAPS eNews and Action

Is a terrible – and completely avoidable – tragedy combined with an outsider Presidential candidate what the media needs to finally start covering sanctuary cities?  The murder of Kate Steinle by a 7-felony, 5-times-deported illegal alien and Donald Trump's ineloquent remarks have brought our issue to the forefront.  You and I have long known that in addition to a multitude of other problems, sanctuary cities kill.  The Remembrance Project has been specifically covering murders by illegal aliens since 2009.

What can you do?  Have you sent messages to your legislators to pass HR 1145/S 1640 to overrule sanctuary cities and Kate's Law to mandate 5-year sentences for deported illegal aliens?  Only sustained outrage by the so-called "silent minority" will make a difference.

In other news, your efforts are getting a foothold.  As the drought wages on, your legislators are beginning to realize that growth-at-all-costs might not be such a good idea after all.  Read on to help Governor Brown connect the next dot, sign the "End Birthright Citizenship" petition, protect American jobs at California utilities, find out how our presidents scored on the environment, and more.

Thank you for standing strong with CAPS.
Sincerely,

It's working!

CAPS' latest TV ad received more media coverage in the past month than any of CAPS' media coverage in recent memory! From U.S. News and World Report to The Drudge Report, your message is being heard across California — and across the country!  Thank you to our donors who make it possible!  In addition to making a tax-deductible donation, here's more you can do:

  • Californians, remind Governor Brown that the most logical way to stabilize our population and preserve resources, is to reduce immigration.  Click here to take action.

Your signature defends citizenship. Sign the petition to end birthright citizenship!

Good News! California bill fights H-1B Visas
Let's not let Southern California Edison get away with it anymore!  AB 853 would significantly reduce utilities from hiring cheaper foreign labor and protect jobs for Americans.  Read more about the bill and take action here.

How did your favorite presidents rate?

Which U.S. Presidents fought largely for America's environment and which against it?  This is ably answered by CAPS' Board Member Otis L. Graham, Jr., professor emeritus of history at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in his latest book, Presidents and the American Environment (University Press of Kansas, 2015).
