Despite Two Million Californians Unemployed, Government Continues To Admit More Than One Million Legal Immigrants A Year To Take Jobs

Los Angeles, CA – June 11, 2012 – Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) has launched a TV campaign in California calling on Senator Barbara Boxer to slow mass immigration and save jobs for unemployed Californians. The ads are launching in Los Angeles as California experiences unprecedented levels of unemployment and immigrant workers continue to pour into the state looking for jobs.

“Barbara Boxer is supposed to be a fighter. It’s time she fought to slow mass immigration and save jobs for unemployed Californians.” commented Marilyn DeYoung, Chairman of the Board of Californians for Population Stabilization.

California has recently recorded some of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. Unemployment has already topped 12% this year and more than two million can’t finds jobs in the Golden State. Close to half of all California’s unemployed live in the Los Angeles metro area. Yet despite high unemployment, California politicians like Barbara Boxer are standing by and raising no objections as our government continues to admit one million legal immigrant workers a year to take unemployed Californian’s jobs.

“The last thing California needs right now is to bring in more people who need jobs. Unemployed Californians, including last year’s immigrants can’t find jobs,” commented DeYoung.

The ad campaign will run in Los Angeles for an undisclosed period. The campaign will launch in future markets over the summer.
