Administration Plots More Cuts in Deportations

At the behest of President Obama the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking for more ways to be nice to illegal aliens, despite its supposed duty to enforce the laws they are violating. Obama pushed the agency to do so because he was feeling intense pressure from illegal alien advocacy groups to ease up on his alleged “record deportations” of illegal aliens.

DHS and Alien Smugglers: Partners In Crime

Just when you thought you had seen it all, something comes along to remind you that, as my dad used to say, “Nothing is so good that it couldn't be better or so bad that it couldn't get worse!”

For decades, a succession of administrations from both political parties made a mockery of our nation's borders and immigration laws by not securing the borders and not enforcing the immigration laws from within the interior of the United States.

Furthermore, immigration benefit fraud completed the lawless “trifecta.”

Good News! New DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson Can’t Be Worse than Napolitano

The Senate, to no one’s surprise, easily confirmed President Obama’s personal favorite for Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Jeh Johnson, former general counsel for the Defense Department. The new DHS secretary whose nomination was approved by a 78-16 vote has neither immigration experience nor the managerial qualifications to oversee more than 200,000 employees in a turmoil-beset agency.

Amnesty by Hook or By Crook

A recent CAPS homepage story underlines the White House’s ongoing commitment to administrative amnesty.

Last year, the Department of Homeland Security initiated what it called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) that removed many young illegal immigrants from possible deportation. DHS argued since most had arrived as young children and without either their knowledge or consent, it was unfair to deny them work authorization.

Illegal Immigration May be Back on the Rise

The title for this commentary comes from a September 24, 2013 USA Today news report, which relied on a Pew Research Center report that purportedly found that 11.7 undocumented immigrants were in the United States in 2012, approaching the nation's all-time high of 12.2 million in 2007.

New DHS Directive Exempts Another (!) Group from Deportations: Alien Parents of Minor Children

No one believes anything the White House or Congress promises about its willingness to enforce immigration laws. Congress never enforced the laws written into the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act as they pertained to hiring more border and internal agents to check for entering or employed illegal immigrants. As a result of 25 years of looking the other way, few Americans trust that the government will spend the $45 billion allocated in S.744 for additional security. But even if it does, the money would be wasted without political will.

The Spoils of the Political Machine – Napolitano’s Move to Kalifornia

Last month, Janet Napolitano, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, announced she’d be resigning from that job. The former Arizona governor now is slated to be the next president of the 10-campus University of California system, in another case of failing upwards.

Letter to Lawmakers

Dear Congress:

The National ICE Council represents over 7,000 officers, agents and employees that work for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency throughout the nation and its territories. Their tagline is “They protect those who protect America.”

Unlicensed Immigrant Killed My Son, S 744 Pardons Criminals

The Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Modernization Act, S.744, is filled with lies of commission. Chuck Schumer and his Gang of 8 tell us that aliens will be required to pay back taxes and pay fines as well as be subject to extensive background checks – all empty promises. Schumer’s deceit will supplant “the check is in the mail” as America’s favorite lie.

Administration Enforcement Promises Can't Be Trusted; Read FAIR Report for Supporting Evidence

With the Senate version of the immigration coup de main against the American people launched by Marco Rubio and his Gang of Eight, and with President Obama following up in Nevada with his own four-part version, immigration-sanity patriots must gather all our weapons, aka "facts," for the struggle that's upon us.
